A Quiet, Peaceful Sound

I spent all day yesterday at one of the Atlanta data centers, doing some Nexus and Check Point work with another engineer. Lots of loud server noise, along with the road noise to and from Birmingham. Not to mention the Atlanta city sounds.  It's was just a busy, noisy day.
As I pulled up into my driveway and got out of my truck, back in Birmingham, I couldn't help but notice the stillness of the night. The only sound I heard, all around me, was the soft, low, steady hum of crickets.  Not to mention the smell of the new growth of plants and trees. It was very peaceful. So much so, as I walked inside, I continued straight back to the back door to the back yard to continue to enjoy that sound and the smells of summer. It was quiet a moment.
