Well, I just officially found out yesterday that Broadcom is acquiring Brocade. I'm literally stunned by this. You can read about it at the link below:

This is the retired Shane Killen personal blog, an IT technical blog about configs and topics related to the Network and Security Engineer working with Cisco, Brocade, Check Point, and Palo Alto and Sonicwall. I hope this blog serves you well. -- May The Lord bless you and keep you. May He shine His face upon you, and bring you peace.

Concerned?
ReplyDeleteNah. Ultimately, God is in control. I'll let Him take the concerns of it.
DeleteThanks for your response to my email Shane,
ReplyDeleteHopefully a responsible/sensible company picks up Brocade IP/Ruckus and builds on what in my opinion is already a pretty strong product line
I'd say the only thing really lacking from Ruckus/Brocade was a nice GUI - if they can deliver that plus new features/bugfixes I think that the products can overtake some of the big dogs perhaps?
Very interesting...I just heard about this too. I don't use any Brocade equipment (as yet), but I do use Ruckus bridges in a variety of locations (they work VERY well).
